Sandra Leon-Gonzalez (Sandra Bailey) is of Jamaican heritage and was raised in Pennsylvania. She is known to most as Sandy and after the death of her husband in 2012, she authored Life Through Poetry and Art: Revisited (Westwood Book Publishing, 2020) and Hear Me Roar: Poetry and Art (Westwood, 2019). She is a mother of four (three boys and one girl) and is currently remarried and lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband Kevin Gonzalez and daughter Alyssa Leon.
